Volunteer during the Festival

This form is for those volunteers who have already signed up, and who have attended the WEEK A meetings.

If you have not already signed up, or if you did not attend either of the WEEK A meetings, we will be unable to make a spot for you on the volunteer team this year. Please consider adding your name to the volunteer email list by using the small form to the right of this note. —>

The festival weekend has been divided into shifts, with a code for each shift. Please look over the schedule and mark all the shifts that you’re available to work. Please also mark whether you’re interested in working for 2 shifts, 3 shifts, or more.

The more flexible, the better! For example, you might be available for four different shifts but only want to work for two. We can then assign you to the two shifts where you are most needed.

Be sure to take into consideration your work schedule at other jobs, films you plan to attend, and anything else that would prevent you from being able to work a full shift.

As you can imagine, it’s a real challenge to get everyone scheduled, so please do your best to be clear about when you can work, and keep special requests to a minimum.

These shifts include time to set up the theaters before the first film each day: volunteers are responsible for getting each theater set up with signs, ropes for waiting lines, selling tickets an hour before the first show, etc. There will also be festival-goers who have questions that need answering, so we want to make sure everything is ready to go and fully staffed before the box offices open.

You will likely be scheduled to work in one theater during the weekend, instead of hopping between several. And if you have a friend that you’d like to work with, note that too, and we’ll try to schedule you together, depending on your availability.

Please send this information before end of day on Friday, March 13.

We'll then work on making all the assignments, which will be emailed to you as soon as possible, before the WEEK B meetings:

WEEK B — Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St.
(please attend one of the WEEK B meetings)
Sunday, March 29 | 4 pm – 6 pm
Monday, March 30 | 6 pm – 8 pm

This form does not send a confirmation via email, but after you click the submit button the screen will change and you'll see a message that says SUCCESS! (You may need to scroll back up the page to see it.)
